Vinay and Joanna have recently arrived in Western Australia and have a long association with owning an Indian Restaurant. Previously, we proudly owned Mohr Indian, in NSW and served the area, gaining many happy and loyal customers.  Our vision for SAFFRON CURRY HOUSE is to create a happy, family friendly dine in experience for the people of Bertram and surrounding areas. We cook with  fresh ingredients in order to provide you with tasty and nutritious food. We want to become part of the community here, and soon will have Desi Style lunches available on the weekend. Samosa - Vegetarian (2 Pieces)   $8.95

Veg samosa is a crispy pastry stuffed with mildly spiced potato. Served with tamarind or mint chutney. 


Onion Bhaji  (4 pieces)    $8.95

Vegetarian cuisine at its best. Chickpea batter and spices and coriander. Deep fried until golder, these little golden nuggets have a delightfully nutty flavour. Served with tangy chutney. 


Chicken Tikka (6 pieces)  $19.95

Succulent chicken fillets that have been marinated in spices, then grilled to perfection in the tandoor oven. Mint sauce goes beautifully with this. 


Lamb Seekh Kebab (6 pieces)    $19.95

Aromatic spices and herbs mixed with finely minced lamb. Seared in the tandoor for the most succulent texture and taste. India’s answer to a REALLY GOOD SAUSAGE. 


Fish Fry Punjabi Style  (6 pieces) $19.95

Fillets of WA barramundi, coated in red yoghurt marinade and fried until crisp. Served with salad and chutney. 


Chilli Chicken $19.95

Indo Chinese cuisine, this is a house favourite. The spice mix shows the influence of Chinese flavours and is complimented by a tangy sauce. 


Paneer Chilli (6 pieces) $17.95

Cubes of crispy fried cheese are tossed in a chilli sauce. This dish is inspired by the Indo Chinese cuisine and has a unique spicy flavour. This dish can be made to your highest chilli expectations…..so try it HOT. 


Platter- vegetarian $19.50 or non - veg $24.50

Veg platter for 2 has onion bhaji, paneer tikka and veg samosas. The Non vegetarian platter has 2 tikka, seekh kebab and fish fry punjabi style. Both are served with salad and sauce.

Plain Naan $3.50 Soft, wheat flour bread, naturally leavened, served hot and steamy fromour tandoor oven. 

Garlic Naan $4.50 Soft, tandoori cooked bread, smothered in melted butter and garlic. Move over Italians, this is the best garlic bread. 

Mixed Naan $6.00 Spicy paneer and potato mix stuffed into naan bread. Served hot and smoky from the tandoor. 

Chilli Naan $6.00 Soft Naan dough, sprinkled with fresh and dried chilli. Hot and delicious. 

Buttered Naan $4.50 Buttered, soft, steamy, delicious tandoori baked bread. Do I need to describe more??? 

Keema Naan $6.00 Naan, filled with spicy minced lamb, cooked in the tandoor. YUM. 

Peshwari Naan $5.50 Almost a fruit cake only spicy! This gorgeous bread is filled with cashews, dried fruits and cream. OMG…..too decadent! 

Cheese Naan $5.00 Everyone's favourite, cheese naan is oozing hot cheese, straight from the tandoor with that distinctive, smoky taste. 

Cheesy, garlic naan $6.00 If you like cheese naan, move over for garlic AND cheese. Piping hot, smokey ‘n better than pizza. 

Roti $3.50 Flaky, whole wheat bread. Customary accompaniment for curry and an alternative to naan. 

Lachha Paratha $5.00 Flaky, buttery, layered wholemeal bread. Healthy bread…thats why its on the bottom of this list.

Chicken Korma $22.50

Tender, slow cooked chicken fillets in a rich, creamy sauce with mild spices and the richness of cashew nuts. 


Butter Chicken $22.50

Everybody’s favourite. Chicken fillets cooked in the tandoor, then curried in a smooth, sweet, smoky……unbelievable sauce!


Chicken Tikka Masala $22.50

Rich, savoury flavours of capsicum and earthy spices compliment the melt in the mouth texture of the chicken in this dish. 


Chicken Kadai  $22.50

Our chef excels at this one! Spicy, pan fried chicken in a sauce of tomato and capsicum. Moderate spiciness in this one, but we can make it HOT!


Chicken Saag  $22.50

A garlic sauce with creamed spinach and soft chunks of chicken fillet. 


Chicken Vindaloo  $22.50

Hot, hot and spicy. You know it burns! Chilli with a spicy sour twist makes this sauce a favourite.

Yellow lentils, cooked to a creamy puree, tempered with a bright contrast of mustard, cumin and chilli. Finished with tomato, ghee and fresh coriander.

Goan Barramundi Curry $24.95

Fillets of barramundi cooked in a creamy sauce featuring coconut milk, ground cashews and spices with a West Indian flavour. 


Barramundi Masala  $24.95

Barramundi fillets combined with roasted capsicum and onion. The spice mix in this curry gives it a really distinctive flavour. 


Prawn Jalfrezi  $25.95

Large prawns, simmered in a traditional sauce of onion, tomato and capsicum. Dry red chilli finishes this delicious curry. 


Prawn Korma  $25.95

King prawns simmered in a traditional korma sauce of coconut, softly tempered with green chilli and cardamom.

Chicken Biryani   $20.50

Fragrant with saffron and spices, this dish is a medley of steamed ingredients. A meal in a bowl. The original comfort food of India. 


Vegetable Biryani   $17.50

A fragrant rice and meat medley of spices and saffron, steamed with marinated vegetables and whole spices. A meal or accompaniment to other curries. 


Lamb Byriani   $20.50

Fragrant rice with  a medley of spices, herbs such as mint and saffron, steamed with marinated lamb. A meal in a bowl. Ask for mint sauce with this….Yum. 


Goat Biryani    $22.50

Rich, sweet baby goat in a fragrant blend of spices, steamed together in the mogul tradition. 


Plain Rice   $3.50

We use good quality Basmati Rice which is steamed. It is actually a low G.I food. 


Saffron Jeera Pulao   $5.50

Basmati rice fragranced with the rare and royal spice SAFFRON. Tempered cumin is also added to this delightful rice.

Mango Lassi   $6.00 

Mango pureed with cardamon, saffron strands, rosewater and yoghurt. Ice cold, fragrant and velvety in texture. 


Salty Lassi  $5.00

This ice cold milky drink is a savoury refreshment in India. Added to the yoghurt is cummin, and a mix of ayurvedic salts that cool and refresh the body in summer. 


Chai Tea $3.50

Tea and milk boiled with cardamon, ginger and other ground spices. A warming and comforting drink, especially in winter. 


Chutney and Pickles $3.50

Chutneys are made of fresh tamarind or mint. Pickles are umami pastes made of vegetables, fruit and spices. Great for adding extra “oomph” to a meal. 


Cucumber Raita   $3.95

Creamy, salty and spicy yoghurt sauce with grated cucumber. 


Papadums $3.95

Four pieces per serve. These crunchy lentil chips add texture to your meal or can be enjoyed with pickle or chutney.
